Friday's Saturday: Fashion Posts

I got smacked with the lazy stick over the last couple of days and didn't get around to posting on Friday.

So here is Friday's post on Saturday instead.

I like doing fashion/outfit posts. Not that I know what I'm doing. I just like to dress up and document it so in fifty years from now my grand-kid's can laugh at me and scoff, "ohemgee G-maaaa, what ARE you wearing!!??"

Of course, by then the world will be so different they probably won't say that at all. They'll have robots to speak for them, and only talk on special occasions. Or something.

I especially liked doing these posts back at my family home in New Zealand.

We have a 10 acre lifestyle block just filled with beautiful scenery to make lovely backdrops! 

Now that I've moved, I'm living in a very concrete apartment complex with few photogenic backdrops for fashion posts. I could go out and take pictures in a public place, I suppose, but I'm not quite confident enough for that yet ;)

One day....

We do have a balcony though, which is where these pictures were taken...

Job Hunting Attire

This was a good shoot.

........

But then there's the bad.

Sometimes, the sun goes down before you're ready so you can't photograph outside, the light inside is terrible, but you think what you're wearing is cute enough to document....at least until you see the pictures.

Evening trip to the Grocery Store

While taking the pictures (in which you also display the awkward, almost-teeth-but-not-quite smile) you notice the photographer can be seen in the window reflection...

 So you move to a windowless wall, only to find the lighting is bad, and your belt won't sit at the seam its supposed to (and you're still pulling the awkward smile)... 

By which point, you just give up and pull faces at the camera...

(but STILL, why won't I let my teeth show!!?? Look, they obviously want out!!)

or is that just me?
